Evaluate the risk of cardiovascular events (CVE) in hypertensives and diabetics elderly from Tucano (BA) according to Framingham risk score (FRS). Cross-sectional, descriptive study with a quantitative approach, carried out on 25 elderly people of both sexes, accompanied by the HIPERDIA Program. We conducted clinical and laboratory tests for serum HDL-C, LDL-C, TC, fasting glucose, systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic (DBP), anthropometric measurements, socio-demographic, behavioral and lifestyle. For data analysis, descriptive statistics were prepared using absolute frequencies (F) and relative (%), calculating the mean, standard deviation, pearson correlation and cardiovascular risk according ERF. 68% of the sample were female; the mean age was 70.50 (± 8.97) for men and 70.70 (± 8.24) for women. The risk of CVE in 10 years, according to the ERF, was 60% of the overall sample, classified as high risk. Between genders, we found that men (75%) and women (53%) were classified in this group. Health professionals should implement strategies to promote health by stimulating healthy habits, preventing complications and improving quality of life.Downloads
