Abstract

The use of insecticides consumes, worldwide order values of billions of dollars in an attempt to control insects. The power of an insecticide toxic is determined by establishing minimum dose required to kill the insect. The work aims at assessing the toxicity of pesticides in food activity of synthetic insecticides,Podisus nigrispinus. The insecticides used were Deltrametina, Endosulfan, Malathion and Cyptrin, where they were diluted and inserted into the power source of insects. Treatments were carried out in phases of nymphs of 3rd stage and adults  P. nigrispinus. The insecticides Deltametrina and Endosulfan caused increased mortalities index of individuals and behavioral. Of treatment, the insecticide Endosulfan presented greater harm to both phases of the insect, not being adequately its use in control strategies manned the P. nigrispinus.
