Chemistry: the "eyes" of the students of high school

Abstract

This paper aims to present the ideas brought to the classroom, the students of Basic Education - High School 1st, 2nd and 3rd year, about chemistry. Students were asked by the teacher of that class to write "What ideas that Chemistry word suggests when you reading or listening" and build "A question that can be answered with the help of chemistry." Participated in the search a total of 113 students of the three final series of Basic Education. With the data analysis it was observed that the initial series of 1st and 2nd year of high school so the ideas that has chemistry as the question asked by students were compared with the previous school year, perhaps because it is more recent and easy memory for them or have any questions that have not been rectified. In the 3rd year of high school the most recurrent theme was the experimentationin the ideas brought by students and as in other series were the questions were worked in the classroom by the teacher, through research, texts, experiments and own content of the academic year. It is apparent to the teacher that the ideas brought by the student to the classroom provide greater participation of them in the teaching-learning process, both with regard to actively participate in class how to direct the teacher's planning for the reality of the students.
