Discourse analysis in physics classes in Itabaiana-SE

The dialogue in the classroom will always be a high profile in teaching, and it is through it that happens,especially students' learning. So the teacher-student interaction in the classroom is a major factor in theprocess of teaching and learning. This research aims to analyze the verbal interaction of teacher-pupil inphysics classroom, based on the theoretical contributions of the system of Mortimer and Scott (2002). Theinvestigation involves physics classes in public schools of Itabaiana-SE. The survey instrument used wasvideotaping the classes that were used to make the analysis. Analyses show that the interaction betweenteachers and students in physics class is minimal, which shows that dialogue in physics classes areteacher-centered.Downloads
