This article presents some notes that result from research on initial teacher education from the perspective of public policy. The chosen definition in this work to think about public policy to resume the centrality of research in educational processes is the Institutional Scholarship Incentive Program for Teaching (PIBID). The reflection proposed here aims at constructing a study to assess its influence against the formation process of Chemistry course undergraduates, specifically, the stock of the University Federal of Sergipe campus São Cristovão, entering the announcement 2014/1. The results showed that it was possible to verify even that early, the influence of PIBID for the improvement of curricula and practice in the classroom, as well as improving the quality of teaching chemistry.
