Abstract

This paper aims to disseminate information relating to the implementation of a project about a didactic proposal developed with the students of the second year of high school, using the composition of mineral water and salt hydrolysis as a theme for discussion. The use of images and graphics during the lessons and the foundations of chemical knowledge guided the choice of teaching resources and the organization of the project. Concerning the methodology, the data collecting was performed by the application of two questionnaires. During the analysis process, after comparing the information, it was evident the significant improvement in the number of right answers, which was characterized by two aspects: first, the participating students showed a more elaborate discourse and, second, they were able to establish relations between the levels of knowledge.
