Communication Strategies for Rural Environment: Methodological Approach to Sustainable Agricultural System for Technology Transfer

Abstract

This paper aims to examine ways of communication between technicians and farmers used the participatory construction for installation of Demonstration Units in Sustainable Agricultural System, so that the construction of the collective derived knowledge and respecting the decisions and local knowledge of farmers. Experience has shown that the collective construction of knowledge, combined with good communication interpersonal much of the time, brings more benefits than just take the information in its final process. For the analysis of the proposed methodology for Sustainable Agricultural System reports were used, memories and other records, such as photos, videos and testimonials collected at different times of opportunity interaction throughout the project. Special attention was given to moments of meetings with all stakeholders through participatory methodologies, so that showed the difference of this approach over traditional approaches to technology. It was observed so that the results obtained with the implementation of Sustainable Agricultural System are relevant and demonstrate that the dialogue form used by Embrapa be positive indicates producing a multiplier effect with regard to technological issues, facilitating the understanding of the parties and promoting increased adoption of technologies and good agricultural practices implemented in the system Sustainable Agriculture.
