Abstract

One of the ultimate challenges of school today is that the teachers can integrate the use of ICDT (information and communication digital technologies) to their professional practices and if they keep themselves up to date regarding the development and applications of educational resources with use of the computer. In this context, the present article aimed to understand the role of the virtual learning objects, available in the Laboratory of Technologies in the process of teaching and learning in a State School, in the city of Lagarto. This investigation intended to analyze the way the teachers in High School understand the concepts of local knowledge and ICDT and possible relationship between them. Based on qualitative and descriptive research, this paper has a data collection the use of a questionnaire composed by five open questions. The data were treated by the light of the consulted bibliography. It was found that the teachers recognize the importance of the (OVA) in the schools, i.e. they value like tools that help the students’ learning, however this use is underutilized. It was found that use piece of technology, but the method does not greatly altered, that is, not really explore the possibilities.
