Evaluation of release and permeation to the topic hydrocortisone acetate
Keywords:
release, biomembrane, hydrocortisone acetateAbstract
The hydrocortisone acetate is a topical corticosteroid which is very efficiently dermatitis. However their efficiency in topical therapy is related to processes of release and permeation in the skin layers. In this study, were made in vitro tests using Franz Cells Model to determine the diffusion of the drug with cellulose acetate membrane, and its bio-membrane permeation of stratum corneum molting snak especies Boa constrictor. All aliquots were analyzed by spectrophotometry ultraviolet visible (UV / Vis). The study of diffusion and permeation showed good uniformity between the samples of the product evaluated. In these studies, the permeability coefficient in release systems is greater that in permeability systems, where Kp cellulose acetate was 0.0340 cm min-1 and Kp bio-membrane was 0.0027 cm min-1.
