Abstract

In this study biomass of tree estimated of Eucalyptus grandis plantations were evaluated. Two methods were used - one based on representative trees cubed, and another based on the estimation of the moisture content. Within the plantation plots-samples with 50 x 20 m installed of was obtained where the diameter and height of all trees. Individuals were grouped in different diameter classes and for each of these we selected a representative tree which was felled and the cube method Smalian. To determine the moisture content disks were obtained each of these trees. The method of cubing the individual representative of each class was the most appropriate.
