Vulnerability and social risk of stations natural gas (NG)

The advance in the licensing process is followed by the robust advancing development of risk management models. Practically all environmental agencies ask for qualitative and quantitative studies of risk as a prerequisite for enterprises licensing. However, the data and references scarcity for the parameterization of these modeling becomes a major limitation for the technicians’ analysis and designers’ interpretation. Given this situation, different simulations for twelve NG gas stations in different geographical and operational scenarios were performed in this work. In addition, we performed a sensitivity analysis for the main parameters of influence for quantitative risk assessment (wind speed, pressure, temperature and the roughness of the line). The results point to levels of acceptance for the patterns of vulnerability and social risks for the gas stations studied. The sensitivity analysis showed statistical significance at the 95% level of confidence to the influence of the roughness and pressure parameters of the distribution line.
