In this paper, we provide an update on a regression model designed to estimate the body mass of extinct xenarthrans, particularly those from the Brazilian Intertropical Region. We utilized 84 samples from nine extant xenarthrans species (Pilosa and Cingulata), yielding excellent quality indices (R2 = 0.53, %PE = 4.94, %SEE = 4.44). While there are other good options, we reinforce that this is an excellent tool for estimating the body mass of extinct xenarthrans.
