This work describes the floristic-phytosociological composition of the woody component in an urban fragment of Caatinga with areas at different levels of anthropic intervention. Individuals with a circumference at base stature ≥ 9 cm and total height ≥ 100 cm were sampled, present in 10 plots of 100 m². Phytosociological parameters, Shannon-Wiener diversity indices, Pielou evenness, and Jaccard similarity were evaluated. The results showed the families Fabaceae and Euphorbiaceae as the most representative in number of species and individuals. The species Mimosa tenuiflora and Croton blanchetianus were more important for area I. Area II presented the species Cenostigma nordestinum as having the highest importance value. The diversity indices presented were 2,34 nats.ind-1 for the first sector and 2,30 nats.ind-1 for the second. An initial stage of ecological succession was observed for area I, and more advanced for area II.
