Standardization of X-ray beams for use in dental radiology
Keywords:
Radiation quality, standardization, metrology, dental radiologyAbstract
In order to establish characteristics, aspects or properties of equipments used in radiology, standard laboratories offer series of conditions of well defined ionizing radiations called radiation qualities. Sets of qualities of beam X-rays have been characterized and standardized in several fields of application of the ionizing radiation, except for the dental radiology. The present work aims to standardize X-ray beams of for use in such area, contributing for controlling metrological characteristics of equipments, which affect directly the quality of the procedure and, consequently, in the final product.Downloads
