(Construction an Electrical Power Meter of Incandescent Lamps via Colorimeter Method

We constructed an electrical power meter of incandescent lamps via colorimeter methods. Theconstruction of the meter consists of three parts: building, calibration, and determination of the calibrationconstant. The sensor part of the power meter consists of a water reservoir whose capacity is 300ml. Bymeasuring the temperature variation, we determine the power of the lamp. By using such power meter inexperiments in the schools it is possible to explore the concepts of temperature and electricity, as well asemphasizing the importance of the Physics for the technology.Downloads
