Entrepreneurship and causes the disruption of commercial retailers in the municipality of Nova Petrópolis Gaucho (Microregion Hortênsias)

The constant changes occurring within the business enterprise has required a new way to manage their businesses, these changes that affect businesses generally. One of these is internal competition. Another factor is the opening of borders, mainly driven by China, India and other countries. Entrepreneurs need to give emphasis to the words innovation, entrepreneurship, management of micro and small business management and accounting. This research aims to identify the causes of discontinuity of retail trade companies in Nova Petropolis - RS. To achieve this objective, we performed a case study whose sample is made by companies that discontinued its activities in the period 2008 to 2010 in that city. The study presents analysis of data collected and made notes according to the literature search. It was concluded that the main cause of disruption of business during the three years, was that the business was not profitable, and the influence of other factors. This study contributes to both the business and a way to improve their management but also for the city, because with the closing of the same companies the economy is affected.Downloads
