Practical activities can bring many benefits to science classes, when well planned, contextualized and executed in an investigative way. This work presents a proposal of an experimental activity for high school students and aims to associate the students' daily routine with the chemical contents taught in the classroom. In the developed activity, it was used different types of soft drinks because they are directly linked to the students' daily routine and because they are well known. Through the experimentation, it was possible to approach a series of chemical contents that should be taught during High School, as solutions topics. The proposed experiment was tested and evaluated with High School and also Chemistry students. It showed that it is a good alternative to be used in the classroom.Downloads
