Describes a case of squamous cell carcinoma in the third eyelid of a cow, attended in the Itabaiana city, wasteland region of the State of Sergipe. Surgical removal of the tumor with subsequent appropriate medical therapy was performed. By histopathology of tissue removed was diagnosed squamous cell carcinoma. After 2 months postoperatively no recurrence was observed. The unusual location, third eyelid, eye tumors among this species and the scarcity of reports in this region, demonstrates the importance of improving the study of bovine ocular neoplasia in this state.
