Make teaching: Interdisciplinary Learning Activity

The necessity of a new thought about the conceptual and methodological systematization of the Professional Education is justified facing what is begin proposed and expanding in educational terms for the Federal Institutions of Education: training young people that transcends the technical demands of the business world, linking them with the prospect of knowledge reflective, critical and relational training. In this sense, the professional performance at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul – IFRS, campus Rio Grande and the adoption of an interdisciplinary approach represents the areas from where reflections on learning activities mobilize the collective subject based on a proposal that discusses how we build knowledge. The interdisciplinary field assumed by our experience tried to integrate the disciplines of Art and Electrical Machines, belonging to general and technical areas, respectively. The analysis proposed, initially, toured the common sense knowledge presented to the student, gradually deepen toward the originating germ unit of scientific concepts. This research process materialized in both disciplines from the elaboration and explanation of synthesis, vector images and aesthetics. The student, explaining the functionality of the theoretical frameworks phenomena, turned into abstractions of knowledge. Through the learning activity, attitudes and research skills were developed in students, allowing knowledge appropriation and not just memorize the content taught.
