The criticisms made to the teaching of chemistry taught in Brazilian schools are being discussed frequently in research of the area. Improving the learning of chemistry concepts, involves the need to rethink how this Science is approached in this classroom. This work presents the results of the application of thematic workshop: Quality of bleach: a structure theme to understand the process of titling. The action is part of the activities of the Institutional Scholarship Program Initiation to Teaching - PIBID/CAPES/UFS/CHEMISTRY and was applied to 48 students from two state schools in the municipality of Aracaju/SE. We can realized that the contextualization of chemical knowledge and application of different methodologies during the workshop favor the interactions between teacher and student and the awakening of interest in the construction of scientific knowledge, contributing to the development of skills and the ability to make decisions.Downloads
