Abstract

The concept of soil has been widely discussed due to degradation processes through improper management. In this sense, the proper use of the soil should be viewed from a broader environmental perspective, limits should be established to define the extent to which human activity can affect their environmental benefits. Thus, this study evaluated the chemical characteristics of soil in the project area of irrigated horticulture Plateau Neopolis, Sergipe, under five different vegetable toppings: coconut, banana, mango, passion fruit and native. Samples were collected at the application site and between the lines, and to the native vegetation were collected at random. Under natural conditions of vegetation, soil condition reflects an environmental balance in order to be seen as a reference when handled.
