Documenting and musealization: proposal for the archeological museum of Archaeology Xingó (MAX/UFS)

The data discussed in this article were raised during the execution of the project "The process ofarcheological heritage musealization in Sergipe: a case study on the processes of documentation in theMAX / UFS". The purpose of this presentation is to analyze the relevant points in the process of assetmanagement that is in the process of opening the museum and point out how the museum documentationprocesses can help an institution to enhance the museum its collection as an indicator of memory. Therationale of the research was built on theoretical texts and technical experience from other researchinstitutions that serve to elucidate and foster new actions based on the interface between the Archaeologyand Museology, since both areas are focused on concern for the preservation of object and therelationship that this has had is with society. Finally, the results will be treated who referred to the debateon the mechanisms of extroversion of knowledge - through the safeguard procedures (in which case theprocedures related to documentation museum) and referencing as a core activity, the creation of acomputerized system database for a possible communication comprehensive museum.Downloads
