Abstract

Production systems that are grounded in the mold of sustainable development stand out on the promotion of agrobiodiversity and maintenance of biological cycles in production units. This study aimed to evaluate the absorption capacity of phosphorus and potassium by three species spontaneous production units based on ecological Brejo. The experiment was conducted under field conditions in the properties Pitiá Ranch, Cave Snake and Bonfim, located in Areia-PB. The species studied were spontaneous occurrence: Alternanthera tenella, Ageratum conyzoide and Delilia biflora. Were collected from the fresh aerial plant tissue of species under study, the height of 10 cm of soil, posteiormente, each sample was subjected to chemical analysis to determine the levels of phosphorus and potassium, according descriptive methodology. Soil samples were taken at a depth of 0-20 cm for the determination of chemical elements phosphorus and potassium. Treatments were arranged in a randomized block design in a factorial 3 Å~ 3 referring to the three plant species and three farms in four replications, totaling 36 experimental units. The species A. tenella and A. Conyzoides plants were more efficient as extracting soil potassium in three properties evaluated. The species D. biflora showed lower potassium content than the others. A. conyzoides showed the highest phosphorus uptake. Phosphorus levels in the soil did not influence proportional consumption by plants.
