Silence and Shyness in the Historiography of Aracaju’s Professional Education

Abstract

The intention was to make a survey of a brief memory about institutions of preparatory education for thework market, of public character, in average level in Aracaju, since its foundation to the current days,with the purpose to observe the concern of the successive governments in offering to programs andpreparatory spaces to the young people to raise its level of work possibilities. The research methodologydemanded a bibliographical inquiry and of the field, visiting the DIES - Departamento de InspeçãoEscolar de Sergipe (Sergipe School Inspection Department), searching information about institutions ofteaching that had offered some type of preparatory course for the work. As results, initially it was verifiedthat amongst as many authors that they study, they teach and they write on the history of the educationfew are the ones that if they relate to the professional line of thought, and the ones that try to make it ifthey reveal of shy or almost dumb way.
