Education and Literature: Voltaire and the education role of literary texts

The goal of this work is to present the project of research, in progress at the Nucleus of Post Graduationin Education of the Federal University of Sergipe, guided by Prof. Dr. Edmilson Menezes, who turns onthe function of educator of the literary texts of the philosopher François-Marie Arouet, known as Voltaire.The objectives of the research are: To identify the educative task of literature in XVIII century fromVoltaire’s texts; to understand the links between education and literature in the Illustration; to show theeducator function of Voltaire’s literature; to understand literary expressions, the pamphlet and theromance, for example, as instruments in service of education in Voltaire.Downloads
