Abstract

The search for a religious dimension to the existence looks to be the highest challenge of thecontemporary man, unsatisfied with he rational view of the world that the materialist and scientificthought presents to them like truth discourse. There is another in us, way asleep and plunged in theunconsciousness, who not see it reflected in this know and it want for others explaining categories of thecosmos that re-establish the life sense. In this crucial aspect, the IURD rises in the Brazilian religiousscenery like a big village that offers a variety of symbolic properties. This article aim to gives a first stepin the our project of dissertation to the master that aim to analyzes, specifically, how the afro-spirit’ssymbolic properties are re-meaned and re-worked in universal church.
