Abstract

This paper describes the two main techniques of pseudo coloration in radiographic images. An improved approach based at use of histogram equalization and Wiener filter is presented with interesting results and validated by expert of specific domain. Applying this approach to medical or dental radiological images, avoids the repetition of the acquisition, interpretation errors, patient exposure, comfort in image analysis by reducing eyestrain of the health professional and higher reliability in the provision of reports due to almost imperceptible detail view in monochromatic image. Other proposals continuity are also presented in order to provide an auxiliary tool in the provision of diagnostics.
