In southern Piauí there is a lack of recreational areas and activities that encourage environmental preservation on the part of human communities. Therefore, the objective of this study was to describe a natural area located in the city of Palm Piauí, and propose the implementation of techniques ofinterpretation of nature in the area. The study method used to achieve the proposed objective was descriptive, observational, and inventory of the local tourist attractions. For a description of the biological importance of local data were used for the local presence of ferns species. The main features of the site are the upwelling of water from the rocky cliffs and large woody vegetation. Another fact that draws attention is the presence of ferns species identified in some studies, such as gender of common occurrence in the Atlantic Forest and Amazon.
